Authorities are searching for three people who beat an Anaheim Angels fan in the parking lot of Angel Stadium on Friday, October 3. The attack occurred around 10:30 p.m. following the Angels’ loss to the Kansas City Royals.
The victim and a relative were walking in the parking lot when they were attacked without provocation by three people. No weapons were involved, but the victim was severely beaten. Anaheim Police Lieutenant Bob Dunn noted that alcohol may have played a factor in the conflict and there is nothing to suggest an argument began inside of the game.
The name of the victim has not been officially released, though a neighbor identified him to local television reporters as Alex Arredondo, a former LAPD police officer and father of three. The victim has only been officially identified as a 43-year-old from Huntington Beach, who is currently in serious condition at a local hospital.
There is no security camera footage of the attack and investigators do not have descriptions of the suspects from the few witnesses who saw the conflict. Anyone with information about this attack is urged to call the Anaheim Police Department.
