A landmark anti-harassment ordinance protecting bicyclists is now in effect in the City of Los Angeles. The City Council unanimously passed the ordinance which prohibits several harassing tactics against bike riders including forced removal from the street, attempted physical assault and threats of physical injury. The ordinance also makes violators liable for damages, attorney’s fees and costs of litigation.
