Supporters of SB 910, California’s proposed ‘safe passage’ bill for cyclists, are making a final push to get Governor Jerry Brown to sign the bill into law. The so-called ‘Give Me 3′ bill would require car drivers to give bicyclists at least three feet of space when passing from behind. As the California Bicycle Coalition reported, more bicyclists die from being hit from behind than from any other type of vehicle collision. The bill has cleared both houses of the legislature and only awaits the governor’s signature.
