A teenager was struck and injured by a vehicle as he walked in a crosswalk at South Livermore Avenue. The driver of a Honda did not see the teenager and hit him with the front of the vehicle. The teenager was taken to the hospital and later released.
According to police, auto v. pedestrian collisions have been on the rise in Livermore. Police intend to a crosswalk enforcement operation by targeting specific city crosswalks and citing drivers that fail to yield to pedestrians.
