Edwin Delatorre Arrested for San Francisco Hit-and-Run Driving Rampage

Edwin Delatorre, 26, was arrested in his Hayward home after a series of hit-and-run collisions in San Francisco on June 8, 2014.

Around 8:30 p.m., Edwin Delatorre crashed into the Parc 55 Hotel in Union Square, just before colliding with a Muni bus at the intersection of Mason and Eddy. He fled both scenes in his red Ford Mustang, then ran a red light at Market and 5th streets and hit a pedestrian, who has been hospitalized at San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Delatorre hit a second pedestrian at Market and Kearny before abandoning his car near the intersection of Kearny and Pine. The identities of both pedestrian victims have not been released.

Edwin Delatorre was arrested and booked on numerous charges, including two felony counts of hit and run, two misdemeanor hit and runs, reckless driving, speeding, and running a red light.
