John Paul Garcia Injured in San Jose Hit-And-Run Crash

San Jose Police are seeking information about a crash involving John Paul Garcia, who was injured in a San Jose hit-and-run collision on June 22, 2014.

John Paul Garcia, 26, remains in critical condition after a car struck him in the intersection of Four Oaks and Hostetter. Garcia, who lives a block away from the intersection, was walking home after buying ice cream at the store for his nephew. Witnesses saw a car run a red light and hit him, though he had the right of way and was inside the crosswalk.

Myrna Garcia, John Paul’s mother, drove by the accident but had no idea the victim was her son. John Paul is currently recovering at San Jose’s Regional Medical Center with severe injuries.

Anyone with information about this collision is urged to call San Jose Police at 408-947-7867. The Garcia family is offering a $2,000 reward to find the driver who hit John Paul.
