David Rosie Killed in Oakland Motorcycle Accident

David Rosie, 46, of Concord, was killed in an Oakland motorcycle accident on January 10, 2014. He hit the center divider on Interstate 580 and was subsequently hit by an SUV. The crash occurred just before 6:30 a.m. near the San Pablo Avenue exit. According to witnesses, Rosie turned suddenly and collided with the guardrail and center median wall, ejecting him into the number one lane. The driver of a GMC Yukon hit Rosie, then a BMW rear-ended the Yukon. Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. David Rosie’s Suzuki motorcycle was completely engulfed in flames when authorities arrived and Rosie was pronounced dead at the scene.
