Rouda Feder Tietjen & McGuinn is proud to announce that attorney Bradford (Brad) Bowen has joined the firm to direct its wildfire litigation practice. Bowen brings more than seven years of specialized experience representing wildfire victims and businesses, and a client-centered approach that aligns with the firm's commitment to building lasting relationships with the communities it serves.

Bowen has represented wildfire victims across California and the country, including in the devastating 2017 Wine Country fires and the 2018 Camp Fire, where he worked with more than 7,000 clients across 16 fires. Most recently, he has been deeply involved in representing victims impacted by the Maui fires, working with more than 300 households and businesses. Bowen has secured multiple $10M+ awards and has represented more than 100 businesses from large operations with millions in revenue every year to small family businesses.

The firm currently represents over 1,200 clients in the 2025 Eaton Fire lawsuit against Southern California Edison, including over 50 businesses. Bowen’s arrival strengthens the firm's capacity to provide the personal attention and deep community connection that has become its hallmark in mass tort litigation for individual and business entity damages alike.

"We are thrilled to welcome Brad to our team," said John Feder, Founding Partner of Rouda Feder Tietjen & McGuinn. "Brad shares our core belief that even in large-scale disasters, every client deserves genuine connection and individualized attention."

Bowen earned his J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law (now UC Law San Francisco), where he remained involved with homeless advocacy projects throughout his legal education. Before entering wildfire litigation, Bowen spent years as a prosecutor with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's offices. He earned certificates from Harvard Business School Online in Financial Accounting and the University of Colorado at Boulder in Applied Business to better communicate and advocate for his business clients.

"Every job I've ever had has involved helping people in crisis," said Bowen. "Wildfires are an overwhelming and confusing time for clients, and being able to help them navigate that process is the most fulfilling work I can do. I'm honored to join a team that shares my commitment to truly knowing our clients and building connections that last long after the lawsuit ends."

When not advocating for wildfire victims, Bowen enjoys rooting for CU Boulder and Bay Area sports teams and getting out into nature with his wife, two young children, and dog.
