Rouda Feder Tietjen & McGuinn is proud to share that Partner John Feder has been named a finalist in the Best Mentor category of Law.com's 2026 California Legal Awards.
In his finalist Q&A with Law.com, John described a mentorship style built on bringing young lawyers into the heart of a case and helping them understand not just the what but the why. "When attorneys understand not just what we are doing but why, they begin to develop their own instincts as advocates," he said.
He also emphasized the importance of mentoring the younger generation: “Experienced lawyers also need to be willing to share what they have learned. Mentorship takes time and patience, but it is one of the most valuable investments a lawyer can make in the profession's future.”
John has been recognized by partners and peers alike as a compassionate mentor. He consistently uses his expertise to help guide and consult younger attorneys on the Rouda Feder team. Congratulations to John on this well-deserved recognition.
Winners will be announced at the California Legal Awards dinner on June 24 in Los Angeles.
