New Study: CT Scans May Increase Brain Cancer Risk in Children

A new study prepared by researchers with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has identified a possible link between CT scans and increased risk of brain cancer for children. The NIH data found that children who had undergone 3 CT scans before the age of 15 were two to three times more likely to develop brain cancer later on. The study is the first of its kind to establish a direct link between CT scans and increased cancer risk.
